    UVA-Wise vs Newport

Season pretty much over at 0-2 playoff-wise,but the Cavs have a chance to show some heart and grit today finally at home. Lets Go Cavs! Game is on WAXM now.

They could still make the playoffs. They would just have to win the rest of the games which will be very hard to do. One more loss and that'll probably be it. Wise is up early on Newport News 21-0.

With their schedule,0-2 is done. Cavs playing inspired football today, cruising 41-0 at the half.

Hey both of those are home games. Beating Cumberlands would be a long shot but they could pull it out against Georgetown (which is homecoming by the way). Lambuth will be a tough game. More than likely a loss.

    UVA Wise 48, Newport 0

lol, Newport must have been awful. Great job by the Cavs today. And how about that defense? How often do we see a Cavs shut-out!?

Newport is just about always awful.

    Re: UVA-Wise vs Newport

Newport News isn't terrible this year, granted not a great team, but not terrible. They were within a score of nationally ranked Malone last week at the half. We are not out of the playoff race either, granted we need to play well. Generally you can lose 2 games and get in, considering one of our two loses was to a D2 school I would say to get in we would need to finish 8-3. Georgetown lost today to by the way and Union was blown out Thursday Night. We are not dead yet.
